Investment Protection

Once you collect a card you like, you’ll want to keep it safe to protect your prized card from damage. There are several ways to keep your collection in the best possible condition, but the best decision you will make is to use only Ultra Pro accessories for storage and display of your footy cards.

The days of collectors keeping footy cards wrapped in elastic bands and stored in shoe boxes is long gone.

Most collectors today like to keep their cards in some sort of protective covering. Something that will protect the card and preserve its condition for many years to come.

Soft plastic sleeves are often used together with harder plastic rigid "top loading" card holders. They are very popular items and keep your cards from getting creased. They protect cards from surface scratches and prevent oils from your skin rubbing off on the cards.

Collectors often choose to keep their cards in plastic sheets. These sheets usually hold nine cards each and they come with three holes in the margin so that they can be easily kept in binders. Reputable card stores sell binders made especially for each type of card you’re collecting. Click here to search for binders in the Footy Stars store.

Sometimes collectors want to display their favourite footy card on a desk, shelf or table. You can buy a number of different special frames that holds cards along with specially made display stands.

There are even wall-mounted frames that you can buy to display your cards.

Collectors of complete sets and insert sets often choose to keep their cards in hand plastic cases. These cases are available in different sizes that hold from 10 cards up to 250 cards and are perfect for protecting your investment.

Now that you know all about protecting your footy card investments, it's time to take a look behind the scenes at Who Makes Footy Cards?
